When Martin and I were out shopping we saw some sun-dried tomatoes. I was laughing at the 15-minute risotto packages beside the sun-dried tomatoes. Martin put both of these things together in an idea and suggested that we get the sun-dried tomatoes and make some risotto (obviously we left the 15 minute risotto behind).
We had some salmon to use up in our fridge so Martin set out to make the salmon also using the sun dried tomatoes. I got to work on the risotto.
I was determined to make a good risotto this time.
I've tried making risotto 3 times. The last 2 attempts were edible, but far from a perfect risotto.
So I got to work at the stirring:
Here's all the stuff I needed to add at the end (all ready!):
Also note that my DSi is on the counter...because I was using Personal Training: Cooking to make the risotto (with minor substitutions). :)
More stirring! (at least I look happy though ;)
The end result:
This time I almost had it perfect! A few more tweaks and I'll be a pro :) It just ended up being a little too salty, so next time I'll use less broth and more water.
