Hair!

Finally something that is not about food!

If your an avid traveler then this product is a must! Or if you just want to be more green and produce less waste.

Lush Solid Shampoo and Lush Solid Conditioner.
I linked to the Canadian site, but you can get Lush products in store in most cities (Rotterdam, Toronto, Den Haag).

They are great for traveling as they are not liquid (so no nasty leaks, or getting them taken away by airport security). The have no packaging (except some paper to wrap up the conditioner, as it gets melty when warm).

The shampoos come in a wide range of different scents and for different hair types (I love the peppermint/cinnamon one; it makes your scalp feel really clean!). These lather up really well and last a very long time as long a you let the bar dry so it doesn't get mushy.

The conditioner is a little trickier to use. Just rubbing it on your hair doesn't work well. I've found you can do two different things to get great results.

1. Cut a small chunk off and put it in your palm with some warm water and massage it. It will create a creamy paste you can apply to your hair. This way is a little time consuming as it sometimes takes a while to get it all lathered. For long hair/dry hair a chunk that is half your thumb should be good.
2. Cut a small piece off the bar and chop it into small chunks. Put these in a container of some sort (old bottles work great, or travel bottles). Add hot water. Let it sit and it will get creamy as it cools. This way is very trail and error. No recipe to this. If it's too creamy to your liking then add more water. This is more like a traditional cream conditioner.

Hope some of you guys find these useful! I know I have! :)
